Rock and Finn have found that their lives have run aground. Things have grown staid and drab and they no longer get the type of joy or satisfaction that is expected as adults. Rock, a stubborn throwback who knows only one way, gets let go from his job and loses any sense of purpose, while Finn is a lost and frustrated soul who is trapped in a dreary Groundhog Day where nothing ever changes and fulfilment is just a new-age buzzword. In short, both have hit the bottom.

When Finn considers ending it all and Rock fears a disaster on the road, they make the bold - and only? - choice to return to college in search of a new route forward. It is here in the small, quirky city of Bridgewater that they find a renewed sense of hope and a destiny that neither of them imagined possible.
