Luke McCoul, alive only through the miracles of modern medicine, has been trapped in a hospital bed for over a year, and is the only adult patient on the same floor as the children's cancer ward. Kids and staff are dying mysteriously, and no one but Luke seems to notice the demons wandering the hallways outside his door. Though permanently attached to a ventilator, he must confront the monsters with nothing but his will and a wasted body before the things complete their hellish plans for the children of The Ward.
