Syllaba city is a mega city broken up into twenty-four distinct districts or wards. Outside of the central Ward Zero each ward is run by a particular company in charge of a key aspect of the city's function. Holding the entire population of the world monsters, mutations, and monstrosities exist that try to break into the city and wipe out what remains of humanity. However, the Core will do whatever it takes to keep humanity alive no matter who or what must suffer to keep them surviving. Or no matter what it must do to keep humanity itself in line with their own goals.

Rachel Heath a recent graduate living in the M District of Syllaba City now begins her work of joining E Corp and joins the head office to become an Exterminator. With a dream of helping others and a desire to do good she works to make her dream come true. However now she finds herself dealing with hostile coworkers, corporate issues, and the struggles of the adult world. Not to mention the job itself slaying the monsters that appear within the city's walls. As monster attacks appear to grow more frequent and industrial sabotage incidents occur throughout the city Rachel struggles to live the life of an adult and make rent.
