Jenny Boston is swirling in a sea of postpartum depression and choices she can't take back. Life was supposed to go back to normal, but everything has deviated so far from anything she ever imagined. Sadie Montgomery is determined to do things her way. Still having mounds of unresolved trauma, she pushes forward with all the plans she had back when she thought she was invincible. She isn't going to let anyone or anything stand in her way. Drawing close to someone battling their own demons proves toxic for the both of them, pulling them into a nightmare neither is strong enough to leave. Sadie's mind works against her, giving her a ticking clock only she understands and pulling her into a battle she knows she cannot win to save her friend from the living nightmare of their lives.

The strength of the fragile line holding Jenny and Sadie together frays as they are consumed by their separate nightmares. Delusional courage is the weapon used to pull them out of the darkness, but what if only one of them wakes up?
