Jane Harrison is a young woman who has lost her job, reputation, friends and family over a scandal connected to her past. Convinced she has nothing left to live for, she decides to engage a man known as 'the Reaper' (aka 'Angel of Mercy') to help her die. Upon meeting the Reaper, however, things take a slightly different turn than either of them expected and Jane's life expectancy is suddenly extended.
