Aiden, a smallboy from a small village in the of nowhere. Life was good in the village of Aite. His father was the local blacksmith, and his mother was a kind woman respected by everyone. Nothing ever changed in the village until a long column of soldiers arrived, temporarily disrupting day-to-day life.They soon left, but two weeks later, the leader of the soldiers came back alone, beaten, bloody and dying in the saddle. Before he died, he wove a strange tale of moving shadows. All figured it was the product of a confused and dying man. All but Aiden's father. One night, not long after the soldier died, Aiden's village was attacked. His parents hid him away.
