When he was a young man, Felix Sullivan traveled to the western town of Haven with his father to learn the family business. There, he met a young Jacob Miller and the two had a whirlwind romance on the wide open plains.

But then, Felix went home and promises to return or to write was broken, leaving Jake heartbroken and alone. He vowed to push the likes of Felix's family out of Haven, and fought to preserve the town's independence.
