Marie has never been one for life plans or commitments. She spends her days working fast food at the mall and her nights are filled with partying, hookups with strangers, and drinking. Her family worries about her, but she doesn't care. She's content with her frequent partners and her lack of a real future. The only thing that seems to matter is having fun. Her last serious boyfriend, Gabriel, left her two years ago because of her immaturity and constant partying. But when he unexpectedly comes back into her life, he changes her perspective.

She starts to see the value in taking responsibility and making something of herself. However, her past demons, such as alcohol and the consequences of her casual hookups at bars and house parties, come back to haunt her. As she tries to better herself, she's confronted by conflicts with her mom over her lack of commitment to finishing university. Meanwhile, Gabriel tries to help her confront her past and deal with her issues, but it's not always easy. An unexpected consequence and a stressful situation cause Marie to relapse and reconsider as she strives for a better future. Can Marie rise above her past mistakes and embrace everything the future has to offer?
