Saskatchewan, late summer 1947, Mike Bodnar, Canadian WWII veteran was riding the rails to avoid his old life. Captured at the ill fated raid on Dieppe in 1942. Damaged after spending 3 years in German POW camps. Near the tracks, Mike finds the body of a young man thrown from a passing train. Searching the body for ID he finds his best friend's army tags.
