Icarus has been fascinated by the rumors of strange phenomena ever since he was old enough to realize the strangeness of it. He is joined by his three best friends: Ari, his childhood friend with a heart of gold, Theseus, the new kid in town with a troubled past, and Solae, the enigmatic girl who shares both Icarus' passion for all things mystical as well as his love of good music.

The four friends stumble upon a secret hidden in Asphodel, which launches them on a mythical quest that weaves in and out of their daily lives in ways they could never imagine. At the same time, they must find a way to balance their impending high school graduation, individual dreams of the future, and their feelings for each other, making for a senior year that will forever alter each one of them.
