What if you were born with magical powers that were a family secret?

Rookie reporter Maddy Stoner and her teen sister Ally have just moved into a new town after the tragic death of their parents. Seeking a fresh start, Maddy soon discovers that the place she now calls home is the playground for a coven of dark witches. Maddy begins to suspect that Ally's new best friend is part of the coven while she herself is befriended by a strange man who claims to be a "witch hunter"...and that Maddy is a descendant of a legendary line of powerful white magic practitioners. After a series of mysterious deaths occur in town, Maddy begins to fear for her sister's safety as well as her own.
