All through breakfast, Dale kept looking out the window toward where the bull was lying tied down.

Finally, Don couldn't stand it anymore. He got up and started to the barn.

Dale was quick stepping right behind him. When they left the corrals, Don had the little molly mule saddled and on a lead rope. Riding up to the bull, they found him lying on his belly. As they came close, the bull tried to stand, but fell back to his position. Don got down and tightened the cinches on the mule, then led her close to the bull. The mule didn't like the smell of the fresh blood from the tipped horns, but with Dale helping, they got her up alongside the bull. Dale looped a necking rope around the bull's horns, then ran it up and tied it in place on the pack saddle.
