The Life of a Convert is an autobiography that deeply explores Ashley's life and the experiences she endured and overcame. Ashley grew up in Victoria, BC, and very early on, she had to face challenging circumstances throughout her life. She overcame tremendous events in the form of abuse, depression, suicide, illness, and the unwantedness of being alive. She found comfort in being around animals and trained her rescues, Trumpet and Mia, but soon faced the harsh reality of

this world and what it means to succeed in life. Through these experiences, she overcame what people thought was impossible. She found herself in situations intended to destroy her but only made her stronger and deeply value human life and what it means to survive. Throughout her 24-year-long journey, she has shared how she became

the person she is today while overcoming obstacles and encouraging others that having a successful, happy life exists and that there's so much more to life than the obstacles that stand before you. Ashley plans to return and live in Victoria, BC, where she will start her own business and become a mental health and suicide prevention ambassador.
