The Temporary Wife

Humiliated by her husband on their wedding night and abandoned on the third day of their honeymoon, Sofia accepts help from the resort manager. What began as a heartbreaking holiday turns Sofia's life around. After ten days in the company of a thoughtful and encouraging man, Sofia returns to town to deal with her recalcitrant husband.

A shock announcement from Louis leaves Sofia confused and distraught. Despite wanting to divorce her husband, considerations for others stay her hand. Her husband's disdain is the impetus for Sofia to change her life, and she builds a group of friends who support her in dealing with the fiasco that is her marriage.

When Sofia is injured in an attack, Louis takes responsibility. He decides that he and Sofia should make the best of their situation, but once again, Louis shatters Sofia's confidence when he believes a malicious rumour. Finally done with her husband, Sofia applies for a divorce and moves on.

Her happy-ever-after comes with a surprise admirer, and Sofia gains a husband she loves, a family home and a close-knit group of friends.
