Noelle Daniels, a dedicated second-grade music teacher at Dickens Elementary School, loves her students and the close-knit town of Dickens. She once had dreams of singing on stage all over the country, but her dreams were put on hold when she had to care for her ailing mother. She's found joy in teaching music and doesn't have any regrets, until the one man she had given her heart to, returns to Dickens, stirring up dreams and wishes she had tucked away.

Matthew Carter, a rising star in the country music world, stands on the brink of stardom. But to reach the top of the charts, he needs to write a new song to sing in front of a live audience on Christmas Eve. In search of inspiration, he returns to Dickens, his childhood home, a town that is all about Christmas.

Matt and Noelle take on the role of co-chairs for the annual Dickens Christmas Concert. The concert is not just a festive tradition in Dickens, it's also a vital fundraiser for the struggling music program. The pressure is on for them to make this year's concert a resounding success.
