Several important officials from the Vatican have gone missing. So has Blakely's aunt, Dr. Boone. She will stop at nothing to save her aunt. Can Blakely and Shawn find the culprits behind these disappearances before it's too late?

Shawn is working at the Vatican and has been framed for the murder of a high-ranking Arch-Bishop, and he must uncover who is really behind his death. With his Holy weapon Zachariel, the mission should have been a simple one. But werewolf hunter and part werewolf herself, Blakely won't let Shawn take on this mission by himself. Especially since the deaths and the disappearances might be tied to her aunt's abduction.

Together, they meet up with several other vampire hunters to find the Arch-Bishop's killer, locate the missing officials, and rescue Dr. Boone.

To do that, Blakely, Shawn, and their rag-tag team have to fight against a slew of vampires, werewolves, and ancient gargoyles as they race against time.

But there is more than meets the eye in Italy, and not everyone is whom they seem to be. And just when it appears that they have found out who is behind the murders and disappearances, they learn that they are fighting against something larger and older than any undead creature they've encountered before.
