After Hellenic culture installed heroes in the human consciousness, Samson was identified as one of them. From that time until today, heroes and heroic deeds very easily capture people's attention.
Samson inspired many writers, poets, composers, playwrights, directors, filmmakers, painters, and sculptors to create some of their best works. Philosophers were entangled in the tension between God's sovereignty and human responsibility, so even today, they have not come out with a clear position.
