A Time of Miracles

Harper's older brother Samuel comes for a holiday in Kauri Bay to see how Harper, and their sister Hope and her children, are settling in after the death of Harper's wife some months before. Harper asks Sally, the owner of the B&B on Beach Front Avenue, to show Samuel around Kauri Bay, since he and Hope are both working. No one expected it to be the beginning of something wonderful.

But there are 400 kilometres between Sam and Sally when the holiday is over, and they only have short weekends together after the long drive up and back. Sally begins to fear they will lose the love they have just found, until Samuel comes to realise how much of a rut he is in at Crabbits & Co in Rotorua. As his unhappiness grows he wonders how he can find a job and a house in the Kauri Bay area.
