Book #1: The Empty Jar The Empty Jar is the first book in The Adventures of JamJam and SherSher series and is a child-friendly version of the author's testimony. It introduces readers to JamJam, a broken and lonely jelly who had been beaten down by the world around her. The Empty Jar describes JamJam's journey toward healing and wholeness through friendship with SherSher as well as a relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is through faith that JamJam is restored and filled with more love and joy than she has ever known.
About the Series:
The Adventures of JamJam and SherSher is a series of children's books designed to teach kids and teens how faith in Jesus Christ can help them to overcome trauma and a variety of other mental health issues. Each story and character is based on the author's real-life experiences.
Throughout her childhood and early adulthood, Jaime "JamJam" Sansoucie suffered various traumas. As a result, she spent many years struggling with her mental health and faced issues such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and more. However, as an adult, she would eventually find her purpose in serving children who have been through similar situations by being the supportive, caring person that she always needed and wanted when she was younger. This led her to pursue a career in teaching/school counseling for over a decade. Now, Jaime is using her past, her education, her professional experience, and her passion for writing and graphic design to help children and teens around the world through her books.
In the end, Jaime's faith and relationship with God is what made all the difference in her healing process. She aspires to share the Good News of His love, mercy, power, and grace with others so that they, too, may find their peace, comfort, and hope in Him.
