The Beaver Charm

The Beaver Charm is a re-imagining of traditional Wa?dat tales told through the personal stories of three unusual villagers. Tawi?di?ah is born with deformed arms. Tikawino?h leaves her village after marrying a stranger. And a hunter rouses a monster that hunts human beings. The Beaver Charm is also about the power that stories possess. How hearing them can give courage, cause distress and many other things besides.

Michael Collins Gallaspy believes stories are living beings made of words. He thinks you can get to know stories and have a relationship with them. In an exuberant act of love, he conceived a new story - a child of the older stories. That's why an alternative title of this volume was Child Stories.
