Every kid needs a friend who is understanding, supportive, and there with a slobbery tennis ball when someone could use a smile. Jed's parents, however, again turn down the boy zombie's greatest wish. No wonder Jed races after a stray after spotting the dog in a park. If the dog happens to follow him home, how could his parents object? What happens in the next crucial moments is both Jed's worst and greatest moments in his undead life. When it's over, Jed has a new best friend that's as unique as he is. Now all he has to do is convince his parents to let him keep up.
