This is a true story about a small, young dog who looked like he had been lost in the desert for quite some time. He was very dirty and extremely thin. This story tells of his days in the desert, his adoption and life in his new home. Also included is a guide on what to do if you find or lose a dog.

About the Author: Linda lives in the Southern California desert with her husband Mike and six rescued dogs. They have opened their hearts and home to not only dogs but cats, crows, opossums, a fox, and a skunk throughout the years. When volunteering for Greysave Greyhound Adoption group, they fostered over fifty greyhounds.

Linda has been training and competing in obedience competitions since discovering her love for the activity 30 years ago. Along the way, she was introduced to animal-assisted therapy work. She volunteered with four of their dogs and was an evaluator for Therapy Dogs International and BARK Reading Dogs. She was also a Canine Good Citizen evaluator for the America Kennel Club.

Linda is currently teaching dog training class in Borrego Springs and working with Gus who is brilliant!
