Joselyn fantasized how she'd redeem herself from near ruin during her long recovery. She could turn her case over to the police because the law would certainly be on her side. But would prolonged legal justice be as sweet as her own swift revenge?
Joselyn Kovacs is a teenaged stoned-out hippie in the turbulent '60s, a student of the street who loudly protests and rebels and challenges authority. Joselyn is also an accomplished musician. She expertly plays 6- and 12-string guitar and has fantasies of being signed by a record company. But she's hit the wall. As her drug habit spirals and takes over her life, she bleakly realizes her options are limited: She can walk away now, or get carried out later.
With the support of her parents, the comfort of her cats, and sheer grit, Joselyn goes straight and begins a responsible career. Just as she's making strides, however, Joselyn's lurid past shockingly catches up with her and threatens to derail her hard-won place in the corporate world. Her former drug dealer resurfaces and delivers an ultimatum that tears at Joselyn's moral fiber. If she gives in to his demands, she will aid and abet a predator; if not, she will forever be at the mercy of a madman.
It's taken years. Joselyn's clean and strong again. Now it's time for her to turn the tables.
