On December 15th, 2019, I was talking with Dad on the phone with my wife Mona. Dad was bemoaning the fact that he had not been around enough for us kids and he should have been there more for us.

Mona piped up and said, "What are you talking about Bruce. Christopher is always telling me stories about stuff that you guys did when he was a kid."

I went on to tell him a few things that I remember growing up that we had done together and it piqued his interest.

After hearing a couple of my stories, Dad asked me, "Chris do you think that you could write up a couple of stories of things we did together while you were growing up?"

I wrote all these stories during the last year of Dad's life and he got to read them all including the final two chapters that were read to him by Robin, his loving wife. His comments are at the end of each chapter. I never got to see my dad during this time because of the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown. This was my way of saying goodbye to him.

The final chapter was written by my dad as thoughts of his impending end of life were consuming his thoughts and the writing was cathartic for him.

Dad passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 91.
