Our Fateful 21st Century

This century will mark two turning points of enormous significance for humanity. One is the end of human world population growth, and the other is the demise of oil and natural gas. The consequences of these more-or-less concurrent events will result in a variety of possible scenarios of profound importance to our socioeconomic structures and even to our very existence.

Politicians and statesmen have said little, probably avoiding the stigma of being the bearers of bad news. But this writer considers it to be good news and argues that, with proper planning, our planet and all life on it can only benefit.
