It's been 120 years since the anarchist country of Cordellia was founded out of the eastern part of France, but since then, the world has descended into chaos. A black hole has appeared in the solar system, pulling the Earth in the direction of the sun, promising death for everyone. The only way off the planet is by a ship in Israel, only allowing access to citizens of the country.

Chaos has, too, erupted in the mind of seventeen-year-old Eve, whose Cordellian blood and pessimistic thoughts are keeping her away from any form of longevity.
