Death Has Fallen

Falling in love was never part of the bargain...

My eighteenth birthday isn't what I expected-instead of partying with my friends, I find myself in a hospital, battling a cancer that resists every treatment. I feel hopeless and ready to give up when a mysterious, beautiful man offers me a deal: he will take my cancer, relieve my parents of the burden of medical bills and emotional pain, and in return, he will come for me when I turn twenty-five. I accepted, and suddenly, it feels like my life is starting anew.

With my new lease on life, I seize the opportunity to make up for lost time. I make friends, adopt stray cats, find a steady job, and search for my Mr. Right. It would be great if Death wasn't hanging around, annoying me, threatening me, and being so damn irresistible... and constantly reminding me of my impending doom.

To make matters more complicated, it seems that I have attracted the attention of other creatures besides Death. Misfortune follows me wherever I go, affecting my family, my home, and my work. But I refuse to back down or hide. Instead, I confront Death, insisting on my independence, and challenge whoever or whatever is trying to harm me.

Little do I know, the key to saving my life lies in falling in love with Death. It's a twist I never anticipated, but it may be my only way to survive.
