Saturdays at Kiran’s

Middle school in America is very different from middle school in India for Kiran. Sure, there's the same teen angst of which lunch table to sit at, fitting homework and laundry in before band practice, and the eternal disdain of an early curfew, but this new school comes with bullies, and to them, Kiran's dark skin and "weird" accent call for much teasing. Only momentarily shaken by this, Kiran shocks everyone when she invites the entire class to a study group-including her bullies. What awaits them at her house is a spiritual adventure that changes each of their lives in ways they never dreamed possible.
