Five Jewish teenagers lose their families in a Nazi-instigated pogrom executed by their own neighbors in a remote Latvian village. After joining the partisans and becoming front-line fighters at the end of the war, they take an oath: to dedicate their lives to hunt down and execute the perpetrators. With no money and no support from the Allies or any government to identify and locate war criminals on the run, they find a way to finance search missions in Europe, South America and North America.
