A hiking adventure written for children, celebrating nature and kindness. Ky and her loyal cattle dogs, Bodhi and Aspen, take a backpacking journey. Along the way, they make many friends and help several strangers. This story was written without gendered pronouns, created for all humans.

This story was based on the life adventures of my sister, Kyla. Kyla traveled the world and spent a summer backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail. She was an incredibly kind, outgoing soul that made friends and helped strangers wherever she went. In 2021, Kyla passed away from lung failure caused by Covid. This story was written to honor the light she brought to the world.
