About the Book

This book is one of our Homeschool projects. We created it on our path to learning about storytelling, creative and evaluative thinking, writing, reading, handwriting, partnership, graphic design, entrepreneurship, giving, earning, and lots more. We are sisters, and we wrote and illustrated this book when Cora was 6 and Chiara was 10.

About the Story

Melody is a kind and beautiful bird that escapes a dangerous cat and wants to find her parents. She flies North. Silwood the mouse is a loyal friend that needs to find Melody. He drives North in his mouse-sized sports car.

Join Melody and Silwood on their adventure as they take a drive with lots of fun, excitement, questions, and new friends. Get ready for a poetic bear, popcorn at the fair, unicycle-riding flamingos, and a farm at the wedding!

At the end of the book is the recipe for the best blueberry pie ever! that Melody and Silwood discovered during their adventures.

Gratitude

We are Grateful. We donate 10% of all profits from sales of this book to Khan Academy so that it stays "free for anyone, anywhere, forever." Khan Academy has helped us and others a lot. We are saving and investing the rest of the profits for toys and college.
