As She Recovers

Have you ever been brought to your knees by life, unsure of how to get up, again? Many of us turn to something to distract or numb from the inevitable work of......change. Addiction is a destructive accelerant, often fueled by trauma, mental health, loss, and isolation. Substances are a symptom of a deeper longing to connect. As She Recovers is the story of the acceptance, honesty, courage, of rising up, together. Something is different here, in this healing house where true connections are made; connection to self, genuine connections to others, spiritual connections, and the restorative Power of Unity.

She couldn't run any longer, but couldn't stop. She couldn't go back and didn't know how to go forward. She had promised herself She would stop, tomorrow, for her little Emma. But active addiction is a runaway train with no regard for today, or tomorrow. How could the solution be living with 40 women in a mansion by the sea? How could She live another day without Emma? How?

Struggling to accept her identity as a person in need of Recovery, She remains nameless until her moment of grace when Hope is introduced. Her transformation a byproduct of the unconditional love of the staff and peers She meets at the center.

As She Recovers is a passage from survival to living through the gates of change. Experience resilience from all angels of discomfort, surrender, growth, strength, and joy. Within the mystery of the miracle of community, we do recover.
