Grandpa got fired and lost his pension when the steel plant closed. What was our family going to do now? He always told us a union pension was as good as gold. Now it was gone. Years later, curiosity got the best of me. "How in the world can a union pension go broke?" This long-haired country boy from a small-town, miles away from the big city got busy. Armed with a useless degree from a newly minted university, I became an amateur sleuth and began my investigation.
