"Messages From a Boy with an Absentee Father" is an anthology of self-reflection, about a young man who decides to face his fears without the guidance of a man. In the midst of his journey, he doesn't only question why he feels so alone without a male figure; but what type of man he wants to be given the lack of examples in his life. The absence of his father, along with other past trauma, affect his perception of his companions as well as himself.
