Throughout this book you will find prayers from a variety of sources. They range from the earliest recorded Christian prayer outside of the Scriptures to prayers that were penned within the last century. The prayers in this book come from men and women from every continent.

While it can be started at any point, this book does roughly follow the Christian liturgical year if you start on January 1st. At the end of the book there are also a few prayers that are specifically tied to the different liturgical seasons. As you will see, though, many of the prayers in the main section could fit in different seasons as well.
