The Hotel Poems

While traveling for work, these are the writings that happen in the quiet time spent in hotels. Reflections on life, family, and the general state of society today, ------------------
An excerpt from the "Out of Boone"
Making my way down the mountain out of Boone.
Dipping in and out of fog banks as thick as cotton.
These hills rise above you in shadows and greys, Each naked tree stands upright like the hairs on a boar's back.
An excerpt from "Love"
A bad love is the rain soaked overcoat we can never take off. A good love is a warm sunny window in the middle of winter. Great loves rise like a phoenix setting the whole world ablaze. But great loves are often like prophets, their greatness never realized until they are long gone.
