From what was, to what is… A fascinating look back, to a time before personal computers and cell phones took over the world, and changed the landscape of history. Not so long ago, there was no such thing as Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. The world was not interconnected with 24 hour news channels. It was where people actually got together to talk, rather than see multiple faces on a computer screen. It was a time of parades, steam boats, and steam engines. Of small mom and pop shops, and horses pulling buggies. One small town set on a riverbank had all that, and more. It had wonderful, interesting people, who cared about their neighbors. It had barns, gardens, railroads, creeks teaming with life, and lots and lots of trees. However, the good things in life don’t last very long, disappearing before your very eyes. The only way to relive those things is with stories, pictures and songs. That is what this book, and music album are for. In 2008, Jon Kukuk released a music CD entitled Uncharted Currents. The music album had 11 songs, with each song representing a certain point in his life. Now 14 years later this book picks up where the musical album left off. Each chapter is a song from the album, each one representing a point in time. From then, until now.
