If you have never heard of Monica Hooker, that’s probably because she was known professionally as Nela Perkins (for obvious reasons). For several years, back in the mid-2000’s, she co-anchored the local news for Channel 22, WODC in Washington D.C.. As you have probably guessed by now, this volume tells four different stories about Monica Hooker’s television stint in the nation’s capital, ultimately revealing more than you’d ever want to know about the woman Washingtonian Weekly readers named as the WORST LOCAL NEWS PERSONALITY four years in a row.
