Taking place during the cataclysmic events from the end of The Struggle, Splinter's older brother, Shatter, and his squadron of Ghoul Troopers, the Corrupters, are deep behind enemy lines in the final stages of the invasion of Merryland, marching on Fort Sunstrike, which is heavily defended by a battery of relentless cannons.
