Moist: The narrator's houseplants are inexplicably being watered, which causes her to question all of reality. The Draft: Society forces all babies to be born, but creates a lottery system requiring all men to care for them. Never Enough (Until You Earn It): Two African refugees make their way to Europe and are provided "basic income." Final Determination: A murder victim is waiting in the afterlife to decide the eternal fate of her recently deceased killer. More: A cheating husband's mistress discovers he is married and forces him to tell his wife about their relationship. His Neighbor's Wife: An unhappy husband kills his neighbor's wife so that his wife will be put to death under "law of vindication." The Waiting Room: A teenager strikes up a conversation with those waiting to get new life dreams assigned to them.

After Dinner Conversation believes humanity is improved by ethics and morals grounded in philosophical truth. Philosophical truth is discovered through intentional reflection and respectful debate. In order to facilitate that process, we have created a growing series of short stories across genres, a monthly magazine, and two podcasts. These accessible examples of abstract ethical and philosophical ideas are intended to draw out deeper discussions with friends, family, and students.
