Isabelle's father wants her married off so he arranges a marriage between herself and Stephen, a wealthy but repulsive man. Looking for an out, Isabelle enlists the services of a mail order bride agency. She begins corresponding with Thomas, a rancher who has had his heart broken by a preacher's daughter. He hesitates and declines. Determined to meet the man of her dreams, Isabelle travels to Thomas' destination on her own and the two begin courting the old fashioned way...and Thomas doesn't have any idea that Isabelle is the woman to whom he had been corresponding with. Meanwhile, Steven doesn't take so kindly to being rejected and follows Isabelle.
