Discover a new meaning to a familiar sight. The photographs of the night sky in this book are an experiment with the accumulation of time and light. Whilst most photography represents a snapshot of a moment in time, the photographs from this project are studies of periods of time. The time it took to expose each photograph, from ten seconds to over an hour, is viewable in an instant yet remains contained in its entirety within the photographs. The long exposure photographs create a new reality in which time does not vanish but can be collected.
