Blood Runes: In the eleventh century, after leaving the misty shores of Markland a Viking drakkar is dragged to the Yucatan Peninsula where the Mayan culture flourishes. By marrying the daughter of a tribal chief, Bjarni becomes aware of a treasure hidden in the ruins of an abandoned temple. Years later he decides to return to Greenland but his ship sinks.
