When the world was still young the vail that hung between different realms was thinner. Those who had the power could pass through the different realms. Magic was both good and bad. Elves, Fairies, Goblins, Leprechauns inhabited the world at time living with humans. The Faries are beautiful creatures who are arrogant and feel entitled to rule the forrest. War against the Elves and their allies brings terrible devistation to the two armies. The humans are caught in the war. The Rangers who protect the forest are drawn in to fight wild men from across the ocean. The war is started by an Evil Wizard who craves the power of the Dark Underworld. He has Faries kidnap the Ranger children holding them as hostages. While the Rangers are scattered searching for the lost children. The plan is to have wild men attack while they are unprepared. The Faries will attack the Elves, with their defeat Modoc with the power from the underworld will controll all the realms. A young Elf will attempt to warn the Rangers facing the dangerous forest at night. The would faces a darkness of evil that if it wins will be changed forever.

The story is the first of a series which is followed by a Journey of Hope
