Jack makes a terrible mistake when he’s young. He abandons his girlfriend while she is pregnant to join the space military. As a result, he never knows his daughter Ada until his general decides to take the young girl as his new wife. General Williams wants to take her with him to Mercury, where he has a big house complete with fire nymphs as servants. Ada witnesses her mother’s death when she was 5 years old–the same day she also meets her Aunt Sophia who runs an inn. Jack, Sophia, and Ada don’t want Ada to go with the general, but he convinces his unit, except for Jack, to kidnap the young woman. To accomplish that task, they have to kill Aunt Sophia and Ginny, who works at the inn. Ginny and Sophia become ghosts and follow everyone to Mercury, where they haunt the general and the unit as Jack, Ada, and the fire nymphs try not to laugh. When the space military learns of the burned down inn with two dead bodies of Sophia and Ginny and Ada is no where around, they go after the general for answers.
