Sadie can't believe her company is cutting costs by consolidating departments, meaning the customer service office will be invaded by engineers, who will be taking up half the floor space. When she learns everyone in customer service has been assigned an engineer to work with, she wonders how bad it can be. Then she meets her engineer, Nelson, who steals her parking spot, blasts Sinatra when she's trying to work, and insults her, all on the day they meet. Even if he does happen to be gorgeous, how is this "partnership" ever going to work?
Nelson has been warned by a colleague about Sadie, and tries his best to trade her in for another rep, one who has better taste in music, but he's told in no uncertain terms he needs to make it work. Never let it be said that Nelson Butler lacks the ability to get along with anyone, even a drama queen. But the scent of her that wafts over the cubicle wall between them, reminding him of peppermints, is more distraction than a guy should have to deal with.
