When Naira discovers a seal toy named Robin in a hotel shop, she knows there is something special about him and she just has to buy him. Once at home, he starts to make her laugh with funny jokes and crazy dances and the two of them become best friends.

One day Naira learns that the family are moving from Peru to the UK, which makes her excited, but also very anxious. Robin helps to ease Naira's worries and she eventually settles into her new life.

But their friendship is soon put to the test as Naira's classmates laugh at Robin and tease her for having such a weird looking toy. Later, Naira loses Robin at an animal centre, meaning Robin is on his own for the first time.

Luckily, Naira remembers and makes a frantic dash back to the centre where they are happily reunited.

This is a story of true friendship that will delight both children and adults. Young readers will quickly fall in love with Robin and will laugh at his comical antics and blunt way of talking.

It recognises the importance of being our real and honest selves and encourages the reader to be proud of who they are. Robin teaches us that it's what's on the inside that counts and this heart-warming book is sure to become a firm favourite on any bookshelf.
