It is set in a distant world and is told through the thoughts of Roul, an eight year old, reliving the amazing start to a powerful intergalactic group. Following a disastrous fall from a bridge, a group of seven bond on their journey back to safety, to a new world. They wind up becoming the travellers who can use portals to other worlds, watches to teleport, and so much more. The joy of this discovery is intercut with the horror of a lost world, and the fear of a dangerous future.
