Contentment is a great action of the heart, and is one of the chief and most important actions of the heart. Some have said that contentment is the best and brightest action. Daawood At-Taa'i, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: The best of actions is contentment and being pleased with Allaah. “Abd Al-Waahid ibn Zaid, may Allaah have mercy on him, said: I do not consider any action as having precedent over patience except contentment. I do not know of a status nobler or higher than contentment, and it is the head of love.
