As a student of naval medicine, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle began to write short stories. After the publication of Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, he saw a small fraction of the recognition and influence that his immortal character would have on the world of literature.
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle nacio el 22 de mayo de 1881, en Edimburgo, Escocia; y fallecio el 7 de julio de 1930 en Inglaterra. Graduado como medico naval en 1881, mientras estudiaba comenzo a escribir historias breves, la primera de ellas publicada antes de que cumpliera los 20 anos.
